Medical disclaimer
Last updated 4 August 2026
LabTestsResults.com provides educational information only. It does not diagnose medical conditions, recommend treatment, or replace a licensed healthcare professional.
What this tool does
It explains what a laboratory marker measures, compares your result against the reference range printed on your own report, and suggests questions worth asking. That is all.
What it does not do
- It does not tell you what condition you have or might have.
- It does not recommend treatment, medication, doses or supplements.
- It does not tell you to start, stop or change anything you are taking.
- It does not estimate your risk or your outcome.
- It does not tell you that a result is nothing to worry about.
Reference ranges are not universal
Laboratories set their own ranges for their own methods and populations. A result outside a range is not automatically a problem, and a result inside one is not automatically fine. Only a clinician with your history can interpret either.
If something is urgent
If you feel unwell, or your report is flagged as critical, contact a healthcare professional now or seek emergency care. Do not wait for an explanation from this tool — it cannot tell you what your results mean for you.
