Data retention

A session lasts one hour and can be extended once by thirty minutes. Everything below is deleted on three independent triggers: when you press Finish and delete, on a schedule that runs whether or not your browser is open, and by a storage rule as a final backstop.

We confirm deletion before we claim it
When you delete a session, we check that each item is actually gone before telling you it has been deleted. If a check does not come back clean, we say deletion is being retried instead of telling you it is done.
